Arc 482 - Lighting Project

 

For the Arc 482 second project, I had to take the New Harmony Regional Library design and come up with a lighting plan and power plan for one floor and the auditorium. The auditorium has curved ceilings with large fiber optic light bars that reflect light down into the auditorium using the curvature of the ceiling. Along with the ceiling lights there is LED lights in the floors to create light in emergency situations. Moving to the second floor, I have mainly 2'x4' LED lights in the stacks spaces, classrooms, computer rooms, storage, kitchen, and cafe space. Above the desks in the reading area there are pendant lights that are attached to dimmer switches so the person at the desk can adjust the light to their liking.
